Unlike its predecessor, the Mauser 98 large ring, this model features a smaller action, allowing shooters to enjoy the renowned Mauser performance with lighter calibers like .243 Winchester and .308 Winchester. Browning also offered special order rare calibers built on this action, providing customers with powerful options in a lightweight rifle.

Key features include a 22″ featherweight barrel, a gold-filled engraved aluminum trigger guard, and a floor plate. The Belgium Safari rifle is equipped with a flip-down rear sight and a hooded front sight, in addition to front and rear sling swivels. The select hardwood walnut stock showcases a single large engraved cross bolt, complemented by a beautiful lacquer clear coat finish and bright bluing.
