1964 Browning Belgium Safari .308 Winchester 22″ pencil barrel.

This is a beautiful Browning Belgium Safari small ring Mauser in the Ultra Rare .308 Winchester. A smaller action than its predecessor the Mauser 98 large ring Mauser. Now shooters could have that Mauser action on either their .243 Winchester or .308 Winchester. Browning also made some special order rare calibers built on that action also. Browning wanted to give their customers the option to have a powerful caliber in a light weight rifle. Starting with its 22″ featherweight barrel to a gold filled engraved Aluminum trigger guard and floor plate. Flip down rear sight with hooded front sight. Front and rear sling swivels. Select Hardwood walnut stock. Single large engraved cross bolt. Beautiful Lacquer clear coat finish and bright bluing to top it off. The condition of this Browning Belgium safari rifle is of collector quality and would make anyone proud to have this in their collection.
