Description
Rare Mauser 98 Deluxe Custom Rifle in .250-3000 Savage – Early FN Belgium Manufacture – Collector’s Dream
This is a very early Belgian-manufactured Mauser 98 Deluxe by Fabrique Nationale (FN), custom chambered in the increasingly rare .250-3000 Savage—a standout configuration seldom seen in these rifles. Combining the unmatched strength of the Mauser 98 action with one of the most innovative early high-velocity cartridges, this rifle is a rare and desirable find for both collectors and shooters.
Notably, this rifle features the C-ring breech, an early and less common variation of the Mauser action, produced only for a limited time. The bore is in very good condition, indicating it has been well-maintained. Mechanically sound and clean overall, this rifle reflects careful use and preservation.
A cutout for a receiver sight is present on the right side of the rear bridge; however, there is no visible evidence that one was ever mounted, preserving the rifle’s originality. Additionally, the bolt face shows minimal wear, further suggesting this rifle has seen very little firing over its lifetime.
Whether you’re expanding a military surplus collection, seeking a vintage custom sporter, or simply looking for a bolt-action rifle with history, quality, and collector appeal, this rare FN Mauser 98 delivers.
